Perto do coração/ Close to the heart

Aqui está mais um número reduzido de pendentes de barro, neste caso terracota. Uma das coisas que mais gosto na cerâmica é nunca saber ao certo o que esperar. De cada vez que se faz uma fornada está a dar-se um pequeno passo no escuro, uma pequena mostra de fé. A cor reage sempre de maneiras diferentes em barros diferentes e a junção de determinadas peças numa só fornada pode até influenciar a forma como o calor se distribui. É bom ter uma certa dose de mistério no nosso dia a dia.

Here it is another small number of clay pendents, namely terracotta. One of the things I like the most about ceramics is the fact that we never now for sure what to expect. Every time we put a batch of pieces to fire we are taking a small step in the dark, a small leap of faith. The colour always reactes diferently in diferent types of clay and by gathering a certain type of pieces in the kiln we can even influence the distribution of heat. It's really nice to have a certain dose if mistery into our everyday life.
