Video day - Irma la Douce

Hoje mostro-vos o trailer de um dos meus filmes preferidos - Irma la Douce. Por vezes penso se hoje seria a mesma pessoa se não tivesse passado o início da minha infância a ver os mesmos filmes praticamente todos os dias, mesmo sem os compreender muito bem. Claro que a vida é feita de circunstâncias, de acasos e de consequências. E, por um belo acaso, este filme foi encontrado por mim e revisitado muitas vezes.

A história é antiga, como são todas as histórias de amor. Neste caso, um polícia certinho (Jack Lemmon) apaixona-se por uma prostituta (Shirley MacLaine) e tenta tirá-la das ruas. Parece fácil? Óbvio que não.

Today I'm showing you a trailer of one of my favourite movies - Irma la Douce. Sometimes I wonder if I would be the same person today if I wouldn't have spent the beginning of my childhood watching the same movies over and over again, even without understanding them very well. Of course life is made of circumstances, consequences and random events. And, by a lovely chance, this movie was found and revisited by me a lot of times.

The story is old, as all love stories are. In this case, a "by the book" policeman (Jack Lemmon) falls in love with a prostitute (Shirley MacLaine) and tries to take her off the streets. Sounds easy? It obviously isn't.
