Na estrada | On the road

Fim-de-semana passado em casa da avó materna com muita chuva, e um dia de regresso marcado pelo bom tempo, pela luz dourada. Com o trânsito a entupir as auto-estradas de acesso a Lisboa, o caminho fez-se pela nacional, aquela que agora designamos por estrada velha, onde muito se vê e conduzir toma outro significado.

Spent a very rainy weekend at my grandmother's house and the returning day was all about good weather and golden light. With the traffic obstructing the highways to Lisbon, we took the alternative route, the one we now call the old road, where there's so much to see and driving takes a whole new meaning.
