O Teatro Azul | The Blue Theater

A pouca distância da minha casa mora o Teatro Municipal de Almada, também conhecido por Teatro Azul. Se, ao início, este espaço parecia desenquadrar-se do local onde estava inserido, hoje já faz parte da paisagem urbana da cidade, e é impossível pensar na Companhia de Teatro de Almada sem pensar no teatro em si. Gosto muito da sua tridimensionalidade, dos seus ângulos, e do modo como a luz funciona com a cor do teatro, fazendo-o ganhar diversas tonalidades ao longo do dia.

At a short distance from my house, lives the city's Municipal Theater, also known as the Blue Theater. If, at the beginning, this space seemed out of place from the location where it stands, today it is already a part of the urban landscape of the city, and it is impossible to think about the theater's company without thinking about the theater itself. I really like its tridimensionality, its angles, and the way the light works with the colour of the theater, making it gain different shades of blue throughout the day.
