No passado fim-de-semana, a minha avó materna deu-me um relógio despertador que pertenceu aos meus avós durante muitos anos, e que ainda funciona muito bem. São visíveis as marcas do tempo, e o seu tique-taque é constante e bem audível. Gosto de saber que o despertador que tantas vezes acordou os meus avós e lhes indicou as horas, será o mesmo a fazer isso por mim a partir de agora.

Last weekend, my maternal grandmother gave me an alarm clock that belonged to my grandparents for many years, and is still in great working condition. The marks of time are visible, and its' tick-tack is constant and audible. I like to know that the alarm clock that woke up my grandparents so many times and show them the time, is going to be same to do that for me from now on.
