A day in Sintra, part I

Sexta-feira passada rumei a Sintra. Apanhei o comboio de manhã, conversei com uma perfeita desconhecida (e fiquei a saber que ela tinha vivido em Almada há 30 anos atrás) e cheguei a Sintra mesmo a tempo de comer um almoço antecipado no Saudade, um dos cafés mais bonitos do país. Todos os detalhes são um convite à contemplação, daí que até me tenha esquecido de tirar mais fotografias (bom pretexto para regressar mais vezes, certo?).

Last friday I went to Sintra. I took a train in the morning, chatted with a stranger (and learned that she lived in the city where I live about 30 years ago) and I arrived in Sintra right on time for an early lunch at Saudade, one of the most beautiful cafes in the country. All the details are an invitation to contemplation, so I really forgot to take more photos (it's a good pretext to return, right?)
