A day in Sintra, part V

Depois de sair da Regaleira, e sem rumo definido, andei, andei, andei mais um bocadinho e depois voltei a andar. Andei por estradas quase vazias, espreitei por portões fechados, e vi o céu recortado por árvores de todos os tipos e tamanhos. As minhas pernas doeram-me por dias, recordação dolorosa de um dia feliz.

After leaving Regaleira, and without any definite plans, I walked, walked, walked a little more and then walked again. I walked through almost empty roads, peeked through closed gates, and saw the sky  cropped by trees of all shapes and sizes. My legs hurt for days, a painful memory of a happy day.
